Sikh Yatrees have arrived in Pakistan to participate in Maharaja Ranjeet Singh's death anniversary events. Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi had issued 509 visas to Sikh pilgrims from India for the purpose. The death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh will be observed from Friday. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal says China is ready to take CPEC forward on an upgraded level after completion of its first phase. Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Wednesday, he said the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's recent visit to China has further strengthened bilateral ties. He said the launching of the MM1 satellite by Pakistan in collaboration with China was a great milestone. Ahsan Iqbal said that law and order, stability, continuity of policies and reforms agenda are the prerequisite of progress for any country. The offices of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will remain open on Saturday and Sunday for tax collection. According to FBR notification, all its Large Taxpayers' Offices, Medium Taxpayers' Office, Corporate Tax Offices and Regional Tax Offices will remain open to facilitate the collection of duties and taxes, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for taxpayers. On special instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Clean Islamabad mission has successfully been completed. People of the Federal Capital expressed their gratitude to Chairman CDA and appreciated the performance of the entire team. Capital Development Authority, Islamabad Police and officers and staff of Safe City set a high example of public service on all three days of Eid. On the instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa personally supervised the Zero Waste Operation. In a statement, Mohsin Naqvi has said that the work of disposing off the animal waste was completed on the first, second and third days of Eid with great effort and the cleanliness arrangements were excellent in all areas of Islamabad. He said the public complaint regarding cleanliness were promptly resolved. Over 2500 personnel and more than 200 vehicles and machinery remain in the field for zero waste operations. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon personally monitored the zero waste operation through Safe City cameras. International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict was observed today. This year the Day focused on healthcare.
