Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi met with Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah and discussed matters pertaining to the province. In Punjab, an enforcement authority will be established to eliminate hoarding and profiteering. The purpose of setting up the authority is to ensure provision of daily use items to the public at government rates. The entity will check the standard of edible items besides monitoring their demand and supply. Punjab Enforcement Authority will also conduct raids and impose fines in all parts of the province. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi called on Chairman Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad today. During the meeting, they discussed overall political and economic situation of the country, especially issues of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Faisal Karim Kundi lauded the role of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for allocation of funds for Chashma Lift Canal in Dera Ismail Khan and Chakdara-Chitral Motorway projects in the current federal budget. Balochistan government has allocated three hundred and twenty one billion rupees for Annual Development Programme in next fiscal year budget. Minister for Finance Mir Shoaib Nosherwani addressing the post budget news conference in Quetta today said that all available resources would be utilized to increase revenue collection. He said government has increased salaries of employees in the budget while steps have also been taken to provide maximum relief to people. The United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture will be observed on Wednesday. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell, Pasban-e-Hurriyat and other political and religious organizations will organize a public gathering in Muzaffarabad to highlight the plight of victims of torture in general and those who are languishing in Indian jails on fake charges in particular. All Parties Hurriyat Conference will also hold a press conference on Tuesday to expose Indian atrocities and torture being perpetrated against people of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
