Members of National Assembly of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Shaista Pervez Malik and Barrister Aqeel Malik have criticized opposition for not supporting resolution in response to the US House of Representatives' resolution on Pakistan Addressing a news conference along with PML-leader Barrister Aqeel Malik in Islamabad today, Shaista Pervez said Pakistan wants good relationship with the United States on the basis of mutual respect and dignity. Shaista Pervez Malik said resolution must had been approved unanimously but unfortunately, a political party is continuously politicking on sovereignty of the country. Spokesperson of the government for Legal Affairs Barrister Aqeel Malik said no one will be allowed to interfere in internal matters of Pakistan. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed sorrow over loss of precious human lives in collision of ambulance and tanker in Attock. Expressing condolence and sympathies with the bereaved families, she directed the best possible medical care facilities to the injured. She also directed to take action against the persons responsible for the negligence. Five people were killed and three others injured as result of a collision between an ambulance and an oil tanker near Hakla Interchange today. Meanwhile, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the killing of five persons in an accident near Hakla interchange. A varied duration anti-polio campaign will start on Monday in selected districts of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Punjab, a seven day special anti-polio drive in six high risk districts of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh and Gujranwala will begin on Monday. More than five million children will be administered anti-polio vaccine drops. A seven day special anti-polio vaccination campaign in sixteen districts of Sindh including Karachi will start from Monday. During the campaign, around four point seven million children below five years age will be administered anti-polio vaccine drops. A-five-day anti-polio vaccination campaign will begin in eleven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Monday. According to Emergency Center Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a polio campaign will be conducted in Swabi, Swat, Tank, North Waziristan, South Waziristan Upper and South Waziristan Lower while partially in selected union councils of D.I Khan, Peshawar, Kurram, Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts. The 185th death anniversary ceremony of Maharaja Ranjit Singh was held at Gurdwara Shri Dera Sahib in Lahore today. The ceremony presided over by the Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs and the Chairman of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, was attended by Indian Sikh pilgrims as well as by Sikh followers from across Pakistan. During the ceremony, Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora emphasized that the Constitution of Pakistan ensures the rights of minorities in accordance with Islamic teachings, and that the contributions of non-Muslims living in Pakistan to the country's development cannot be overlooked. He said all minorities have ample opportunities to progress in various fields, including religious freedom.
