President calls for adopting innovative methods to impart education

President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized the need to adopt innovative methods to impart education.

Talking to Caretaker Education Minister Madad Ali in Islamabad today, he said about twenty seven million children in the country are out of schools. He said mosques can be used as educational institutions. He further said online education in remote areas can also prove useful in this regard.

The President called for paying special attention to the provision of education to girls and Persons with Disabilities.

Highlighting the importance of professional training in the country, he said it is incumbent on us to equip the youth especially women with technical skills and knowledge.

Commenting on the Higher Education of country, Dr. Arif Alvi urged universities to focus on modern knowledge including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Cloud Computing. He suggested the universities start two-year degree programs in various fields.

Dr Arif Alvi said the scope of Higher Education can also be promoted in the country with the online and distant learning programs being offered by Virtual University and Allama Iqbal Open University.
