Islamabad: International Day for the Abolition of Slavery is being observed today. This year’s theme, ‘Fighting slavery’s legacy of racism through transformative education,’ highlights the ongoing global efforts to eradicate all forms of modern slavery.

According to Radio Pakistan, the day is dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for action against various forms of slavery, including human trafficking and child labor. The observance emphasizes the need for transformative education as a tool to combat the enduring legacy of racism and discrimination rooted in slavery.
