Pakistan and UAE Discuss Opportunities to Enhance Bilateral Relations


Abu Dhabi: Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have engaged in discussions to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral relations that serve mutual interests. This was highlighted during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was marked by a warm welcome from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, was also present during the discussions. Both parties focused on strengthening cooperation in economic, trade, and development fields, aligning with their visions for sustainable economic growth.



The meeting provided a platform to discuss the importance of the World Governments Summit in identifying global governance trends and presenting strategies to enhance government preparedness. This dialogue underscored the need to leverage global transformations to accelerate development and build a better future.



The discussions also covered regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially recent developments in the Middle East. Both leaders emphasized the need for intensified international efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace in Palestine, supporting the two-state solution to ensure regional security and stability.



Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tweeted on X, expressing appreciation for the UAE’s consistent support for Pakistan’s socio-economic development. He highlighted the UAE’s vital role in regional peace and stability and reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing economic cooperation, trade, investment, and energy collaboration.
