Islamabad: The Cabinet Committee on Privatization has approved a fast-tracked plan for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited. The plan includes the divestment of 51-100 percent share capital, along with management control.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was held in Islamabad with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar presiding. During the meeting, Ishaq Dar emphasized the government’s commitment to the privatization of PIA as a strategy to unlock its potential and alleviate the financial burden on the national exchequer.
