Minister for Information Technology Syed Amin-ul-Haq says the government is taking steps to connect the youth with digital world to make them self-employed.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, he said the IT sector involves multi-billion businesses, and there is a need to introduce students with artificial intelligence and digital technology.
The Minister said Ministry of Information technology is spending funds worth 49 billion rupees to ensure an improved connectivity with 4G in the country.
He said country’s IT industry is rapidly progressing and IT exports have increased to 2.8 billion dollars in 2020-2021 from 1.4 dollars in 2019-2020.
The IT minister said efforts are underway to make Parliament paperless by January next year.
Talking about mobile technology, the Minister for Information Technology said that due to his efforts and role of IT ministry, the mobile phone manufacturing has been started in Pakistan.
Syed Amin-ul-Haq said the government will facilitate youth, who can play vital role in prosperity and development the country.
