Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has directed the departments concerned to accelerate the development process of Special Economic Zones under the CPEC.

He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Friday) to review progress on implementation of CPEC projects.

Alluding to the recent visit of Prime Minister to China and 11th Joint Coordination Committee on CPEC, Ahsan Iqbal said the departments and Ministries concerned should review progress on the implementation of the decisions taken in the JCC meeting.

He directed the officials concerned to expedite the development process on 1000 acre Islamabad Special Economic Zone and also directed Pakistani Embassy in Beijing to follow up on matters pertaining to CPEC projects.
