Ministry of Interior has rebutted the news regarding increase in the fee of passport.

In a statement on Monday the spokesperson of the Ministry said, the news circulating on social media regarding the increase in machine readable passport fee is baseless.

He said the government has approved the issuance of e-passport for Pakistani citizens but this facility has not started yet.
