Balochistan cabinet decides to procure 500,000 metric tons of wheat


The Balochistan cabinet has decided to procure five hundred thousand metric tons of wheat this year.

In the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti in Quetta today, the cabinet agreed to change the method of procurement of wheat and ordered to purchase customized modern eco-friendly bags.

The cabinet approved the fixing of wheat price which is equal to the price fixed by Sindh government to stop smuggling of wheat from Balochistan to Sindh.

The Balochistan Chief Minister also approved the establishment of a monitoring committee consisting of members of the assembly to ensure transparency in wheat procurement.

The cabinet also approved a grant of five hundred million rupees for the martyrs of Balochistan Police.
