Culprits Involved in Violent PTI Protest Will Be Held Accountable, Says DPO Attock.


Rawalpindi: District Police Officer Attock Dr. Ghias Gul announced that those responsible for the violent PTI protest will face justice. Addressing a news conference in Rawalpindi, he outlined the steps taken by law enforcement in response to the recent unrest.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Attock Police have arrested seven hundred individuals involved in the violence, with the identities of eighty-nine others still being verified. The police have confiscated tear gas shells, masks, batons, and weapons from the protestors who attempted to flee the scene.

Dr. Ghias Gul highlighted that some protestors were trained individuals who engaged in firing and other violent acts against police officers. The protest resulted in injuries to one hundred and forty-seven police personnel, twenty-five of whom are in critical condition.

The DPO emphasized that the Punjab police exercised restraint during the protest, ensuring that no protestors were injured. He reiterated that the protection of people’s lives and proper
