Islamabad: The one hundred and twenty-seventh death anniversary of great reformist and educationist Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was observed on Thursday. Sir Syed is hailed as the father of the Two Nation Theory and one of the founding fathers of Pakistan, along with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.
According to Radio Pakistan, he was the founder of the Aligarh Movement, which served as the base of the Pakistan Movement. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan died on this day in 1898 in Aligarh, India.
