First Annual Overseas Pakistanis Convention Commences in Islamabad


Islamabad: The first annual Overseas Pakistanis Convention is set to begin in Islamabad tomorrow, aiming to recognize the contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the national economy. The government has decided to grant the status of state guests to those attending the convention, with special arrangements being made to welcome them at the airports.



According to Radio Pakistan, the event will serve as a platform where overseas Pakistanis, government representatives, and national institutions can come together. Help desks from various government departments are being established to provide information, guidance, and services to overseas Pakistanis at a single location. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to understanding and addressing the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis promptly.



In a video message, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain emphasized the government’s determination to work for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis and address their concerns. He highlighted that this is the first time such a convention is being organized, and the opinions and suggestions of overseas Pakistanis will be welcomed. He acknowledged the role of overseas Pakistanis in enhancing the image of Pakistan abroad through their hard work.



Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, Awn Chaudhry, expressed his appreciation for the contributions of overseas Pakistanis, stating that their hearts beat for Pakistan.
