Government Intensifies Efforts Against Smuggling

Islamabad: Relevant government departments are continuing their action against smuggling.

According to Radio Pakistan, the latest statistics reveal that 23,770 cigarette stocks, 195 rolls of clothes, and 0.114 million liters of Iranian oil were seized from across the country last week.

The government’s concerted efforts aim to curb illegal trade activities that have been affecting the nation’s economy. The recent seizures represent a significant step in the ongoing campaign against smuggling, underscoring the authorities’ commitment to enforcing laws and regulations.

The operations carried out by the authorities are part of a broader strategy to prevent the influx of contraband goods, which not only disrupt local markets but also deprive the government of valuable tax revenue.
