Govt committed to give top priority to IT sector: Ahsan

Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has set up a Steering Committee comprising experts from Information Technology to increase the country’s export volume.

He announced this initiative while addressing a roundtable conference on “Digital Transformation in Pakistan” in Islamabad today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Planning Minister said that the Steering Committee would hold meetings every month to implement the recommendations regarding digital transformation.

He said IT sector is the key driver to increase digital exports and hence the government is giving top priority to this sector.

Ahsan Iqbal said that the country could not achieve its development targets due to political instability.
