Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has announced that the PTI founder has been convicted in the 190 million pound Al Qadir Trust case based on irrefutable evidence. In a televised message, Tarar highlighted that this is Pakistan’s biggest corruption case to date.
According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar mentioned that co-accused Malik Riaz has been declared an absconder and that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is making efforts for his extradition, including engaging with the UAE government. He stated that there is evidence against Malik Riaz and others involved, and they should be brought before the court.
Tarar further clarified that NAB operates in accordance with the law and without bias. He emphasized that this is the first instance where NAB is taking action against such influential individuals after fulfilling all legal requirements.
