ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted an on-site inspection of the Serena Chowk interchange project, emphasizing the need for expedited work to meet the project deadline. The project is advancing rapidly, with significant progress observed during the minister’s visit.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister instructed authorities to hasten the completion of the underpass, which is anticipated to be ready within five days. The interchange will be opened to traffic following the finalization of drainage work. In addition to reviewing construction progress, Naqvi approved a beautification plan for Serena Chowk, advocating for the enhancement of the area with plants and flowers while ensuring the preservation of existing trees.
Earlier in the visit, Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, briefed the Interior Minister on the project’s current status. The briefing covered various aspects of the construction work, highlighting both achievements and areas requiring attention to meet the tight schedule.
