Int’l Day for Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict observed

International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict was observed today. This year the Day focused on healthcare. In his message, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for a pledge to eliminate this scourge, stand in solidarity with survivors, and reaffirm commitment to protecting hospitals and healthcare facilities during conflict. Meanwhile, a report released by Kashmir Media Service has revealed that Indian forces' personnel sexually assaulted over 11,263 women during last 36 years in occupied territory. Source: Radio Pakistan
