Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said the UN resolution designating March 15 as International Day to combat Islamophobia is a big achievement for Muslim Ummah.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said credit for the adoption of the resolution goes to Prime Minister Imran Khan who effectively raised the issue of Islamophobia at all the international forums including the UN General Assembly and the OIC.
He said it is Prime Minister Imran Khan who forcefully presented the case of Muslim population and highlighted its sensitivities. He said the very voice of Imran Khan is heard and given importance at the international level. He said Islam is a religion of peace and has nothing to do with terrorism.
