Pakistan and Netherlands Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Engagements


Islamabad: Pakistan and The Netherlands have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining ongoing engagements across various sectors, showcasing satisfaction with the positive momentum of their bilateral cooperation. This resolve was articulated during the 11th Round of Pakistan-Netherlands Bilateral Political Consultations held in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was led by Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands, Christiaan Rebergen. The discussions encompassed the full spectrum of bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues of mutual interest.



Both sides expressed contentment with the current state of cooperation, agreeing to continue their engagements in areas such as political, economic, trade and investment, climate change, agriculture, water management, dairy and livestock, education, and culture. The Foreign Secretary highlighted the significance of enhanced trade and economic ties, acknowledging The Netherlands as a major trading partner and encouraging increased Dutch investment in Pakistan.



The consultations also addressed the challenges of climate change, with both nations agreeing to maintain close contact to further enhance their bilateral relations, highlighting the importance of sustained dialogue and collaboration.
