Pakistan, SA, Qatar discuss potential for increased collaboration & investment in various sectors

Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin held virtual meetings with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih and Qatari Minister for Energy Saad Sherida al-Kaabi.

In his meeting with Saudi Minister, Pakistani side apprised that present government is providing incentives to attract and facilitate foreign investors.

The two sides discussed about the potential for increased collaboration and investment in the various sectors including agriculture, food security, Information Technology, infrastructure development, Refinery and vowed to extend business and economic ties.

The Saudi Investment Minister expressed the need for greater mutual investments in different fields.

In his meeting with Qatari Energy Minister, both sides discussed ways and means on promoting bilateral and economic ties between two countries. The issues for setting up of the LNG terminal in Pakistan came under discussion in the meeting.

Besides, Pakistan’s Ambassador designate to the United States Masood Khan called on Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin in Islamabad today.

The Finance Minister extended his felicitations to Masood Khan on his new responsibilities.

Chairing a meeting on Digital Policy and E-commerce, Shaukat Tarin ensured that government is fully supporting as well as undertaking all mandatory measures for boosting the IT sector in the country.
