Pakistan’s sports goods exports surged by over 10 percent in the fiscal year 2022-23 as compared to the previous fiscal year, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said.
The country exported sports goods worth 404.797 million U.S. dollars during July-June of the 2022-23 fiscal year as against the export of 364.901 million dollars during July-June of the 2021-22 fiscal year, showing growth of 10.94 percent, the PBS said on Tuesday.
On a year-on-year basis, the exports of sports goods decreased by 5.53 percent to 34.265 million dollars in June 2023 from 36.269 million dollars during June 2022, according to the data.
However, on a month-on-month basis, the exports of sports goods increased by 7.88 percent during June 2023, in contrast to the figure of 31.763 million dollars logged in May 2023, the PBS data showed.
