Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen trade and investment cooperation with Japan. He conveyed this sentiment during a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Akamatsu Shuichi, who visited him in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted the friendly ties between Pakistan and Japan, noting the goodwill shared by the people of both nations. Shehbaz Sharif also reflected on the successful history of bilateral cooperation, expressing appreciation for Japan’s support in Pakistan’s economic and industrial development efforts.
The Japanese Ambassador affirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s development goals and enhancing bilateral cooperation. He mentioned that Japan celebrated 70 years of Overseas Development Assistance to Pakistan last year and expressed Tokyo’s eagerness to continue its partnership in Pakistan’s development.
