Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unflinching and continuous political, diplomatic, and moral support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self-determination. Addressing the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad, he paid glowing tributes to the Kashmir martyrs and Hurriyat leadership for rendering matchless sacrifices for independence.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam, had already declared Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan. He assured that Pakistan would never remain silent while Kashmiris continue to endure Indian atrocities.
The Prime Minister called on India to cease the implementation of oppressive laws, extrajudicial killings of Kashmiri youth, incarceration of Hurriyat leadership, and demographic changes in IIOJK. He cautioned that Pakistan’s quest for peace should not be mistaken for weakness, given its status as a nuclear power.
He urged India to seek an amicable resolution to the protracted Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He highlighted the responsibility of the international community, peace-loving nations, and organizations to exert pressure on India to allow the Kashmiri people to freely determine their future.
The Prime Minister also committed to allocating resources for the rapid development of AJK, enhancing travel, health, and education facilities for its residents. He announced the opening of Danish Schools in various districts of AJK.
