President Dr Arif Alvi has directed the universities to upgrade their academic programs in line with the changing demands of job market.

He was chairing 6th session of senate of COMSATS University in Islamabad on Monday.

The President said teaching methods, syllabus and skills should also be updated according to market needs.

He said universities should resort to online education system and find new ways to increase revenue and engage more professionals to secure research grants.
