President stresses for promotion of quality education in country

President Dr. Arif Alvi has stressed the need for promotion of education in the country.

Addressing the concluding session of a two day international conference on Health Research in Peshawar today, he said more than twenty-million children are out of schools.

He termed this number alarming as it makes ten percent of the total population of two-hundred and fifty million people.

Earlier, the President distributed shields among the researchers who demonstrated distinction in different medical research disciplines.

Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan stressed for coordinated efforts to meet the challenges of healthcare.
