President urges Govt, world bodies to focus on Pakistan flood-hit children’s needs

President Dr Arif Alvi has said Pakistan is fully committed to protect its children from all types of exploitation and provide them better education, health care and clean and green environment enabling them to excel in every sphere of life.

On the occasion of World Children Day, the President called upon the government, privileged persons, NGOs and international organizations to especially focus on the needs of a large number of flood-affected children.

He said on this day, Pakistan like the rest of the world, pledges to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights.

He said Pakistan commemorates Children’s Day to reiterate its renewed commitment to safeguard the rights of children as a signatory to the UN Convention on the Rights of Children.
