President Zardari Mourns the Passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan


Beijing: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep shock and sadness over the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan. President Zardari, who is on an official visit to China, stated that Pakistan has lost a great friend who made significant contributions to the country’s social sector, particularly in health, education, and community development.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari remarked that the invaluable services of Prince Karim Aga Khan for humanity will always be remembered. He described the prince’s demise as a monumental loss, emphasizing that words cannot adequately convey his sorrow at losing such a devoted friend of Pakistan. The late Prince Karim Aga Khan was credited with revolutionizing the educational landscape in Gilgit-Baltistan, establishing world-class educational standards in the region.



President Zardari also highlighted that during each of his visits to Pakistan, Prince Karim Aga Khan showed heartfelt affection for its people and launched numerous projects. He extended his deepest condolences to the Aga Khan family and the global Ismaili community on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan. Furthermore, he expressed hope that the new spiritual leader would continue his father’s legacy, setting new benchmarks for service and humanity.
