Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif today inaugurated the largest-ever Kisan Card Program at Hafizabad to provide critical financial support to small farmers.
Under the scheme, farmers can obtain loans of up to one hundred and fifty thousand rupees per crop season to purchase seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides using their Kisan Cards.
Speaking at the launch event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that the initiative’s budget has been expanded to cover seven hundred and fifty thousand farmers.
She said applicants can send their ID card number to 8070 from their registered mobile number for registration.
The Chief Minister also announced upcoming projects, including a mega program valued at 35 to 40 billion rupees to establish rental machinery units across Punjab’s tehsils and a program for solarization of seven thousand tubewells.
