Samina Alvi calls for providing inclusive education to Children with Disabilities

First Lady Begum Samina Alvi has urged to provide inclusive education to Children with Disabilities to bring them into the mainstream.

She was addressing an online teacher training session on inclusive education for Children with Disabilities Tuesday.

During the session, she called for taking collective responsibility to create an inclusive learning environment for all students, irrespective of their abilities.

Samina Alvi urged each child should be provided equal opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive regardless of their disability.

She also remarked that such training programs helped teachers understand different disabilities and appropriate teaching methodologies for Children with Disabilities.

She said that teachers should focus on the potential of Differently-Abled Children to encourage their participation in various activities of life.

The First Lady also urged the relevant stakeholders to join hands and take proactive steps towards implementing inclusive education practices in Pakistan.
