KARACHI: In a significant move aimed at fostering technological skills among the youth of Sindh, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori announced an initiative to provide free modern IT courses to 500,000 young individuals by 2025. This initiative is a part of broader efforts to enhance opportunities and resources for the province’s residents.
According to Radio Pakistan, Governor Tessori made the announcement during a ceremony at the Governor House in Karachi. He highlighted that the Governor’s Initiative would create more avenues for the people of Sindh, focusing on empowering the younger generation with essential digital skills.
Building on past efforts, the Governor noted that since last year, 900,000 ration bags have been distributed to those in need, and 50,000 youths have already been enrolled in IT courses. These measures are part of a comprehensive strategy to address employment challenges, improve access to clean drinking water, ensure affordable electricity, and maintain cleanliness in the region by 2025.
This ambitious plan reflects the government’s commitment to developing human resources and addressing socio-economic issues in Sindh, aiming for sustainable development in the coming years.
