Tariq Fatemi Engages US Congress Leaders in Washington for Bilateral Talks


Washington: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi held important meetings with key leaders of the US Congress in the United States. The discussions centered on enhancing Pak-US bilateral cooperation and economic relations.



According to Radio Pakistan, Fatemi met with Brian Mast, Chairman of the US Congressional Committee on Foreign Affairs, Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on South and Central Asia on Foreign Affairs Committee, and Jack Bergman and Tom Suozzi, Co-Chairmen of the Pakistan Caucus in the US Congress. These meetings aimed to foster understanding and strengthen ties between Pakistan and the United States.



The Special Assistant briefed the US leaders on government policies, with a particular focus on economic priorities. He emphasized that promoting bilateral relations in trade, economy, and investment is among the government’s top priorities. The discussions also covered regional and international issues, highlighting the importance of collaboration in addressing global challenges.



These meetings signify a continued effort by both nations to enhance cooperation, which is crucial for mutual economic and strategic interests.
