Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that work is underway on various development projects especially on Thar coal in the province.
Talking to a delegation of National Defence University that called on him in Karachi on Thursday, he said around one thousand megawatts of cheap electricity has been added to national grid from Thar coal.
The Chief Minister said a bridge was constructed on River Indus at Sujawal for taking machinery to Thar coal field for mining and power plant.
He said an airport was constructed while a network of roads was also laid in Thar.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said special attention is also being given to health, education and energy sectors in the province.
He said nine universities have been established in the province.
